About 81% of Russian population speaks in their official language that is Russian. Most minority speakers are bilingual speakers of Russian. Over 100 minority languages are spoken in Russia today; most popular among them is Tartar, which is spoken by 3% of population. Some other minority languages include, Chuvash , Bashir, Cheche and Mordvin. Few of these make even 1% of Russian population and these languages are in key regional areas. Pronunciation of Russian language is widespread geographically and is most spoken of Slavic languages.

 

This language belongs to family of indo -European languages and is the one of 3 according to family of Indo-European language to some scholars.
