Islands

Bely is relatively a large island in Kara Sea of Yamal peninsula, Russia . This island covers an area about 1,810 km2 that is covered by tundra. Malygina Starit separates it from mainland about 10 kilometers that is frozen most of year. Altitude of island is 73 degree N and longitude is 70 degree E. island belongs to Yamalo-Nenets, which is northern part of Tyumen and administrative division of Russia . Bely Island is close to its tip of NW and there is a Russian experiment station named (Polyarnaya Stantsiya).

Alexandra Land

It is another large and famous island and located in the Franz Josef Land in Russia . Highest point of the island is 382 m while sound is known is Cmbidge that is located between Zemlya Georga. Island has caps 2 pointing in its southern coast and Cape Ludlow . Western cape pointing is called Cape Mary that is the western point of Franz Josef proper. The Alexandra land was named by Austro-Hungarian in honor of the Grand Duchess of Russian, who became the Archduchess of Austria upon her marriage to the Joseph of Austria.
